Weekend with the Koders!!

On Friday, I checked my phone messages after work, and Jake had called asking what we were up to. When I called him back and told him that we weren't doing much, he said something to the effect of, "OK, we're leaving to come spend the weekend with you right now." They arrived on Friday night a little after midnight, and after putting Zach to sleep, we stayed up talking until past 2am. The next day, we took them to Bergamot Station for a while and then to 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. We did a bit of shopping and then walked out to the pier. I played that game (that they have at the fair) where you roll the ball into various holes and your horse/dog/fish, etc. moves forward towards a finish line. I was only playing to win Mark a Homer doll, and I ended up beating this little girl. I felt a little bad...but not really. I was glad that I got Mark the doll. We went home and made dinner afterwards. On Sunday, they came to church with us, and then we went to Panera Bread (they had never been there). We then went to Ikea in Burbank (because Sheri had never been there) and browsed around. We finished the afternoon by doing some shopping at the mall...Jake got a "stylish" ;) belt buckle, Sheri found some cool clothes, I got an awesome green corduroy jacket and striped tube socks in five colors, and Mark...well Mark ate an apple. We rented the Wallace and Grommet Were Rabbit movie for Zach, and it was pretty funny. Oh yeah, when we were in Santa Monica, we saw David Duchovny in our parking garage. Anyways...moving forwards...Monday we went to Corner Bakery (another favorite for Mark and I), and then the Koders headed home. I drove back down to Burbank and bought film for my 8mm movie camera so that I can test it out. It was a very fun weekend. To top that off, I had my first big audit on Tuesday and got an "A+". I was even happier because I didn't have to come in over the weekend to work on files, which made me think about how I am very happy with my mix of work and home/free time right now. I had no worries over the weekend, and I liked it that way. Well, it's another weekend again, and we are at the Murray's house. The boys are playing video games, I am on the computer (as always), and Ashley is watching...Enjoy these pictures! There are a few from everywhere!
