Aubrey's Time in California

It would be hard to really explain everything surrounding Hayden's funeral, except to say that though we are sad, and it was an emotional and sad time at points (and will continue to be at times), it was not depressing in any way. Hayden's life was an inspiration, and we (the family) know that he is in heaven and that he is no longer suffering or in pain. He is whole - in a way that he never was whole before. It was very good for me to be home. It would have been even better for Mark to be there too, but I was very happy that I went. My dad rented a cabin that would fit all of us at Sorenson's (just south of Tahoe) - a place where we often go as a family. There was lots of snow up there, and we had a good time "getting away," sledding together, and just relaxing. Please continue to pray for Melinda and Tyson, and thank you to all of you for your kind words and emails to either myself or them.

Side note: I had camera "issues" from the time that I got home - my camera was determined to be lost this trip. I left it on the plane of the way into Sacramento, so I didn't have it at all when I was home. I got it back from the airport as I was leaving Sacramento, almost left it on the plane in Georgia, and ended up losing it on the tram at the Atlanta airport. I was really out of it - and it was frustrating. I ended up getting a new one that I like better, which was on sale in Georgia before I flew to Israel. The pictures on this post are ones that my dad took, but the ones for the next post will be from my new camera. Click on the pictures to make them larger!!

I have your DVD in the player right now, and Zachary has figured out which button to push to watch the Zoo video over and over again. So that's what he's doing.
