One Day in Georgia

On my way back to Israel, I had a full day layover in Georgia, so I got to spend some time with my Uncle Ed, Aunt Delaina, and cousins, Olivia and Edward. I arrived around 6:20am (after about 2 hours of sleep on the plane, which was my "night"), went in circles trying to recover my camera (to no avail), and then got in touch with Uncle Ed, who had been stuck in a big traffic jam on account of an accident. Despite the initial craziness, it was a nice visit :) We drove to an IHOP in Loganville, GA and met Aunt Delaina and Olivia there for breakfast. I don't remember if I had sweet tea then or later, but I definitely had sweet tea at some point :) Breakfast with all the fixins' :) We went across the way to the unmentionable store (Walmart...he he), and I ended up camera shopping there. Mark told me that I had to get one before I left Georgia, because "what would you do in Israel without a camera?!" I found one that I liked a lot (which was also on sale) and have been very impressed with it so far. It is a Canon Powershot 3 IS, and you can read all of the fun specs on it at: http://www.dpreview.com/news/0602/06022111canons3is.asp/ There is also a picture of it below.

Anyways, after Walmart, we went to the house and compared cameras for a while, I got a tour of the house, and I spent some time showing Uncle Ed my Mac, photos, videos, etc. I ended up taking a little nap for a hour or two, and then we went out to Journey's End for dinner - good Southern buffet restaurant (as you can see below). I had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, sweet tea...and the list goes on. I think that I was one of the only people in the restaurant that was hitting the salad bar though :) Then, of course, there's the dessert bar too. I got to meet Aunt Delaina's parents, so that was a lot of fun. We went back to the house for a while, said "hi" to Edward, watched some of the Christmas DVD that I had sent them, and then we headed back to the airport. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of Olivia before she headed off to work (sorry, Olivia), but there are a few pictures of the fam below - all with the new camera :) P.S. The last picture is one of the Greek islands that we flew over in the plane.
