Cairo: Day 4
There are not too many exciting events for Day 4. We woke up early and took our last taxi ride to the Sheraton Hotel to catch the bus. Then we had a long bus ride back to Jerusalem. It was nice to be able to see all of the scenery that we had missed on the way in (because it was night-time on the way in). So, I tried to take a number of pictures out of the bus window, but ended up deleting a lot of them. Here are the ones that turned out pretty well. If an of you have seen the movie Babel, all of the desert scenes from Morocco look exactly like the landscape and countryside in Egypt - just over the border from Israel. All of these pictures were taken between Cairo and the Israel border, so you can get an idea of the buildings and terrain between these points. There are many pictures of Alana, Mark, and I taken in daylight outside of the restaurant that we stopped at in the middle of nowhere.
It was a great trip - there are more stories that I wouldn't really have room for here (and they would be better to tell in person), but I hope you got an overall feel for our trip through these few posts. Sorry that it took me so long to get these up!
Coming soon - Egypt Videos and Yam L Yam Hike pictures and adventures!
