Our Trip North to See Grandparents: Part IV - Grandma Koder's 80th Party

We ended our trip by going to Grandma Koder's 80th birthday party at Aunt Donna's house. It was a lot of fun, and a lot of Italians all in one room. After the party, we went to Cafe Luna, which had excellent food...in my top 3 restaurant. Check it out in Placerville off of Main Street! Fun pictures below!!!

Our Trip North to See Grandparents: Part III - Grandma and Grandpa Laughlin

We spent two nights in Dufur, Oregon with Grandma and Grandpa Laughlin. Aunt Sue and Uncle Tom came to see us, as well and Aunt Peggy. It was good to visit with everyone. We took a walk around town and took pictures (see below). We also played lots of games there including Wheel of Fortune, Yahtzee, and Upwords. It was a fun time. On our way southward, we stopped in Corvallis to see my cousin, Carrie. We went out to eat at a good little restaurant there. We spent one quick night with Grandma and Grandpa Stockton on the way down and then headed for my parent"s house. Check out the pictures below of Dufur and the family!

Our Trip North to See Grandparents: Part II - Grandma and Grandpa Stocktons

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Stocktons on Sunday. When we got there, we went to eat at a restaurant called "Grandma's House." That night we stayed at home and hung out. The next day we went into town to a little coffee shop and listened to grandma and grandps tell stories from "long ago." We went to a thrift store, book store, etc. Afterwards, we went to Hilt (where my mom grew up for a while) and got the audio tour. That night, we played Zioncheck...the signature game of the Stockton household. It was a lot of fun, and we stayed up late. The next day we left for Northern Oregon. The following pictures are from the Stockton's house and Hilt. They got a good amount of snow while we were there :)

Our Trip North to See Grandparents: Part I - Tim and Mel's

We are wrapping up our week-long trip to see our grandparents in NorCal and Oregon, and here are some of the pictures. Mark's dad came to see us after a San Diego business trip and stayed Thursday and Friday night last week. On Saturday morning, he left for San Diego, and we picked up a rented Chevy Malibu and headed for Sacramento. The car only had 800 and some miles on it when we started, so we have tripled the mileage so far...they're going to wonder where we went with all of our unlimited mileage! On Saturday night, we arrived at Tim and Mel's to a party and tons of food. All of my family showed up, and Aunt Ruthy and Isaac came down for her birthday. We stayed up talking and hanging out. Jake, Sheri, and Zach spent the night along with Ruthy, Charlie, and Isaac (and us), so we had a full house. This first set of pictures is from last Saturday night. The snow pictures are actually from the "Grapevine" in Los Angeles on our way up...yes, parts of LA actually get snow...not many though.
